Invitation Virtual integrity and e-espionage Can we tame the Internet?

Defence and security company Saab invites media to a seminar and interviews on what happens when information goes viral and we no longer can control the information.

Welcome the 20thof November 2013, 17.30-22.00 at the Renaissance Brussels hotel

Rue du Parnasse 19, 1050 Brussels.

Technological advances continue to provide great opportunities. The world connects faster. More personal information is made available online than ever before. Most of this information is shared by the people themselves in the belief that they are still the owners of the information they share. European industries carry an increasingly large cost for IP theft stemming from e-espionage and cyber crime is making investment in innovation a great risk.

Can we protect the integrity of citizens when they are the ones spreading the information. Is e-espionage the death of European innovation? Is there a way out and is further legislation the answer. What role do international organisations play in finding a solution?

Defence and security company Saab offers systems within mission critical systems and networks to ensure that the necessery infrastructure can be efficient, secure and robust in order to ensure continued efficiency in necessary societal flows.

Speakers include:
Paul Nemitz, Director Fundamental Rights & Union Citizenship, European Commission

Dorothee Belz, Associate General Counsel Europe, Microsoft

Jamie Shea, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges, NATO

Neal Pollard, Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers
