Defence and security company Saab and software company Eurostep have signed a teaming agreement to cooperate in the application of Eurostep’s Share-A-space COTS software and to deliver collaborative product life cycle support solutions to aerospace, defence and security markets based on the PLCS standard.

Information management based on the PLCS standard is increasingly important in the delivery of competitive performance based support solutions. Share-A-space is an established software for information exchange and sharing in collaborative projects and offers Saab and their customers the ability to better maintain product and service configuration from requirements, design, through in-service and end-of-life.

“This is an important step for us in securing access to best-of-breed tools in support of our ambition to deliver innovative and cost effective support solutions to our customers”, says Lena Bergvin-Lundqvist, Vice President, Saab business area Support and Services.

This cooperation brings together Saab’s in depth experience in providing state-of-the-art support solutions for complex system-of-systems and Eurostep’s Share-A-space COTS software as the leading implementation of the PLCS standard.

“We are extremely proud to cooperate with Saab and at this very moment some significant implementations of PLCS are taking place in demanding industries such as aerospace and defence. This agreement positions Share-A-space as reference product for information collaboration within Saab’s services. Together we will be able to deliver best-in-class information management solutions as an integral part of innovative support solutions,” says Håkan Kårdén, CEO of Eurostep.
