Saab develops the Swedish air defence

Saab has received two orders from the Swedish Defence Material Administration, FMV, for continued development, support, and maintenance of the Swedish armed forces air defence system StriC and the simulator system Strics. The total value is SEK 117 million.

The system is developed in close collaboration with the customer and is adapted for the specific requirements of the Swedish air force. Different versions of the system has also successfully been exported

Peter Wimmerström, business unit manager Saab Systems, is pleased with the continued confidence from FMV and emphasizes that the collaboration between Saab and FMV has given very good results.

"This contract allows us to continue our successful collaboration and is also important for the continued development of Saab’s world leading expertise in command and control systems for air defence."
