Saab receives order regarding components for Mechanical Mine Sweep
Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract regarding further deliveries of components for the Mechanical Mine Sweep TMk9 system.
The Mechanical Minesweep TMk9 system has a long and successful history, and still proves itself to be a highly vital component in mine warfare operations of today.
In operations sweeping sea mines the TMk9 system with its precise shaped change function cuts the anchor line of the mine making it surface to be disposed safely.
“This further proves that Saab has a very strong position and great solutions in the area of MCM (Mine Counter Measures), says Agneta Kammeby, Head of the Underwater Systems business unit within Saab Dynamics.
Deliveries will take place during 2015.The industry’s nature is such that depending on circumstances concerning the product and customer, information regarding the customer will not be announced.
