Saab receives training order from the U.S. Army
Saab Defense and Security USA LLC, the US entity of global defence and security company Saab, has received an additional order from the U.S. Army for radio systems which are used in data communications for live training. The order has a total value of 20 million USD (approximately 135 MSEK).
The order comprises additional options of the Live Training Transformation Interim Range System (LT2-IRS). A contract awarded to Saab in April 2011 by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). The new options are valued at 20 million USD. Development and production will take place inSwedenand theUS.
Under LT2-IRS, with the options, Saab is fielding communication network systems with more than 11,000 radios to enable soldiers to engage in instrumented force on force training at the Army home stations.
