Seminar – Sustainable Technologies for an Attractive City
Defence and security company Saab invites media to a seminar on how technology can create an attractive city, Wednesday 10th of April, at the European Parliament, Brussels.
About 50 percent of the world’s population currently live in urban environments. In 20 years, this is expected to increase to about 60 percent. For an escalating urbanisation to be sustainable, new solutions and ideas will be needed.
The attractive city seminar is part of the discussions within the European Commission Smart Cities and Communities Initiative and will largely focus on the need of new solutions for cities and how innovative tecnhologies can increase cities' democracy, sustainability and transparancy in order to create attractive European cities.

The seminar is coorganised by Saab’s Brussels office and MEP Göran Färm and is the second seminar in the series Shaping the Future of the European Security and Defence Policy.
Upon request, interviews can be arranged with Carl-Johan Koivisto, Director and Head of New Business Initiatives, Saab about Saab’s technologies for sustainable urban enviroments.
