    Gripen E Flies with Meteor

    In October, Saab successfully completed a test flight by a Gripen E aircraft with the Meteor Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) for the first time.The flight included two Meteor missiles and the Gripen E aircraft (designated 39-8) wasoperated from Saab’s airfield at Linköping, Sweden. “The aircraft continues to perform as smoothly as we have seen throughout the whole flight test phase flying with external stores.     Saab Receives Subsystems Order for Meteor

    Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract with MBDA for deliveries of subsystems for the Meteor Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) missile system.     Defence and security company Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding upgrades to the Gripen C/D system.     In cooperation with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), defence and security company Saab has successfully conducted the first test firing of the version of the Meteor radar-controlled air-to-air missile, developed for mass production.     Defence and security company Saab has received an order from FMV (the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) regarding the integration of the active radar-guided Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile, Meteor.
