Safe at Sea has decided, based on the preliminary study that Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Advisory presented in the spring of 2022, to move forward in the process of reaching a SOLAS classification.

During the spring of 2022, the company, with support from DNV Advisory, has carried out a preliminary study for SOLAS classification of the product portfolio. The preliminary study, which aimed to clarify the possibilities of implementing a certification process, has given a positive response. Based on the preliminary study, the board has decided to go ahead and prepare for a continued classification process.

The SOLAS project is an important part of the company's growth agenda, and the purpose of the SOLAS classification is to reach out to a significantly larger market and to offer our products to customers who require SOLAS classification. For example customers in the shipping sector, passenger ships, oil platforms, etc.

"This is a clear direction for our work and we look forward to move forward in the process. We believe that a successful certification process creates new opportunities and that it is an important milestone to achieve shorter sales processes and increased sales volumes." says Henrik Hartman, CEO at Safe at Sea
