The agreement gives Safe at Sea AB (publ) the exclusive right to sell SeaRanger throughout Europe, including the EU.

There are many similarities between Seagenesis and Safe at Sea as a company, and there are great similarities around how the SeaRanger and RescueRunner has been developed. RescueRunner was developed by the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS), based on the operational needs identified in the operators activities. A development that led to the cooperation with Safe at Sea. SeaRanger has been developed in exactly the same way, but in this case the identified needs come from the South African Sea Rescue organisation, National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), that cooperated with Seagenesis in developing the SeaRanger. NSRI currently has just over 20 SeaRangers in their fleet of SAR boats and they plan to expand the fleet by another 20 units. By comparison, SSRS has just over 60 RescueRunners.

Both the SeaRanger and the RescueRunner are developed and tested by and together with rescue operators, resulting in a product with great safety, efficiency and quality.

A COOPERATION WITH FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITIES

With the family of SeaRanger boats, Safe at Sea will have an even more complete product portfolio covering more of the customers' challenges. The SeaRanger 420 and SeaRanger 460 will be added to the boat portfolio, which today consists of SafeRunner, SafeRunnerX, GuardRunnerX and RescueRunner. To this must be added ElEcoRunner, which is the basis for electrification of all boat models in the Safe at Sea product portfolio.

The SeaRanger is slightly larger than e.g. SafeRunner, enabling transport of more people and cargo, without losing flexibility and manoeuvrability, even in very difficult conditions. Like all our existing boats in the portfolio, the SeaRanger 420 is also built on the Yamaha WaveRunner as platform. This means that they have the opportunity to also rebuild existing WaveRunners to SeaRangers. The model program will target both professional users and the leisure boat segment.

The plan is to start market activities Q1 2022 with demo units and knowledge transfer from Seagenesis.

“We see a great potential in the SeaRanger products and we see that we can meet customer requirements where our existing product portfolio today is not fully satisfying. At the same time, we are grateful for the trust to market and sell the SeaRanger models in Europe and we look forward to cooperate with Seagenesis." says Henrik Hartman, CEO of Safe at Sea.
