Acoustic office design in the spotlight at Surface Design Show

Acoustic office design will be the focus for Ecophon, part of leading international materials company Saint-Gobain, at the Surface Design Show held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London (5-7 February).

Showcasing its most innovative products for use in office environments, visitors to stand 413 will be able to see how design and acoustic performance can combine to great effect. Solutions will include Ecophon’s Wall Panels, Solo™ free hanging acoustic rafts, Soundlight Comfort which includes integrated Philips LED lighting and Focus™ Lp acoustic ceiling tiles.

A recent survey carried out by Ecophon revealed that more than half (54%) of office workers believe that the acoustic environment made it difficult to work, highlighting a real need to ensure workspaces are designed with sound in mind.

Whether you are looking for a direct fix to wall, a more traditional suspended ceiling or rafts suspended from the ceiling, Ecophon has a whole host of solutions that offer flexibility and choice for architects and interior designers.

Texona and Muralis wall panels are available in a range of colours and unique designs while the Solo range has been expanded to include the Regular and Freedom collections which encompass set geometric shapes as well as the option to create bespoke shapes in a range of colours. Solo Wall also gives a frame free option that is fixed direct to the wall and can be digitally printed.

Soundlight Comfort is the result of collaboration with Philips to create a free hanging acoustic lighting island with integrated LEDs and is ideally suited for Thermally Activated Building Systems (TABS), while Focus Lp acoustic ceiling tiles are used to highlight direction and installed using a semi-concealed Connect grid system.
