Salient Management Company, known for its comprehensive suite of performance management solutions, has announced the release of Dashboard Builder™ and Dashboard Viewer™. These latest web-based applications integrate dashboards with advanced visual data mining capabilities from Salient, helping to drive overall operational efficiency. Salient’s easy to build and easy to use Dashboards are fully sharable both internally and externally, leverage the power of the Salient solution by enabling drill-thru to the most granular level of detail and are accessible wherever an internet connection is available (including on mobile devices, such as the BlackBerry and iPhone).

Salient’s Dashboard applications provide a new way to help managers run their business. They are simple to build, using conventional drag-and-drop functionality, and don’t require technical assistance. In addition they are easily shared with internal functional groups as well as people outside the organization such as suppliers, customers and business partners … helping to build the communications infrastructure. When viewing a Dashboard, users have the ability to customize the view, making it specific to their needs. Having a license for Salient’s software allows the user to drill down to granular level detail and identify root cause information. With this information the user is then able to make smart fact-based resource decisions.

Salient’s dashboard applications make it easier to share information and improve means of collaboration. “Because these dashboards are so easy to create and then share, organizations will be able to connect all parts of their value network, including suppliers, customers, and other trading partners,” said Guy Amisano, President and CEO of Salient Management Company. “In this way, our clients will be able to see—in real time—their value contribution so they can further improve it by coordinating efforts and aligning objectives.”

Salient’s groundbreaking Dashboard applications offer two access methods. Dashboard Builder allows business users to independently build, edit and publish their own dashboards, without IT assistance. Other users are able to interact with securely shared dashboards over the web using Dashboard Viewer licenses.

In either Salient Dashboard application, authorized users can explore beyond the boundaries of a typical Dashboard by drilling “outside the box,” and into a fully featured mining application. A manager can click a drill-thru button to launch the same view with the same context/perspective in Salient Interactive Miner™ or WebView™. This enables the user to explore beyond the boundaries of the Dashboard. This one-of-a-kind feature provides both a consolidated perspective and an ability to drill down to root causes, without being confined to the initial view.

These feature-rich solutions make it easy for mobile managers to access their business information they need for fact-based decision making. Users are enabled to gather actionable data from anywhere using an internet connection, including on mobile devices, such as BlackBerry® and iPhone®. Amisano concluded, “These first and only ‘no boundaries’ dashboards will be a true technology enabler for today’s mobile managers out in the field.”
