Salon Grafix Joins Forces with STYLE360 for New York Fashion Week 2012
Auburn Hills, MI—September 4, 2012-- Racks of clothes, flashing cameras and the constant stream of aerosol hairsprays—typical characteristics of fashion shows, but how much work goes on behind the big curtain? Before the models are runway ready, they must be primped and perfected. Salon Grafix will be responsible for a large portion of this primping as the hair style team sponsor of STYLE360 New York Fashion Week 2012, Sept. 10-12 at the Metropolitan Pavilion South in New York, N.Y.
As an emerging brand in hair care, Salon Grafix hopes their Fashion Week 2012 involvement will promote not only their name, but also their upcoming line of hair color and heat protection products, ChromoLogica, set to hit shelves in January of 2013. Recognizing the need to protect both natural and color treated hair, ChromoLogica hair care products contains a proprietary formula of patented ingredients that gives the consumer color and heat protection as well as strong, healthy and vibrant hair.
“The ChromoLogica products contain no sulfates or stripping agents to remove color from chemically treated hair,” Leslie Goodwyn, VP of Marketing at Salon Grafix, said. “The patent pending UVA/B screens prevent color loss in natural or chemically treated hair, and panel studies proved that the products retain color fastness in hair up to 98 percent. Additional benefits include demonstrable shine and resilience,” she added.
“We are especially excited about our collaboration with Stacy Igel, one of the designers for NYFW, for this ‘Forever Young’ runway event,” Goodwyn said. “Stacy used the Salon Grafix’s ChromoLogica color scheme as one of her inspirations for select pieces in the collection and has infused it into a few of her looks.” STYLE360’s exclusive shows aim to bring together the best of fashion, music and Manhattan nightlife. From September 10-12, the Metropolitan Pavilion South will transform into the epicenter of style; with design shows featuring Boy Meets Girl® by Stacy Igel and Lockerz, Abbey Dawn by Avril Lavigne, Bonkuk Koo presented by Stoli, Tumbler and Tipsy by Michael Kuluva, the Gretchen Christine collection, the Daisy Fuentes Collection, BlacMera, Shateria Moragne-EL, and Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola. As the sun sets on New York City and the parties begin to stir, notable artists such as Wyclef Jean and Cris Cab will hit the stage along with newcomer Jarina De Marco to end the night with a bang.
The notable hot pink and chrome detailing of the ChromoLogica line will be featured as a part of the Boy Meets Girl® runway presentation. “This is a tremendous opportunity to help create the hottest hair trends directly from the runway,” said Ms. Goodwyn, of Salon Grafix. “Our partnership with STYLE360 allows some of the most inspired stylists in the area to collaborate with the newest designers in order to create truly unique and fashion-forward looks from head-to-toe.” Behind the stage, celebrity hairdressers including Victor Castro and Gregory Alan will generate the most modern hairstyles to accompany the season’s latest trends. STYLE360 and Salon Grafix intend to offer the general public an insider’s view, by providing access to exclusive celebrity interviews and designer shows throughout Fashion Week.
