During the year, SaltX Technology has together with Rebase Energy produced a submission for the innovation competition Helsinki Energy Challenge. The companies have carefully reviewed Helsinki's current heat and energy situation in order to create a sustainable and suitable solution for the City of Helsinki.

Helsinki Energy Challenge is a global innovation competition with the goal of finding sustainable energy solutions that will make Helsinki carbon neutral by 2035. The winning submission will receive one million euros with an opportunity to realize its competitive contribution.

In connection with the submitted contribution, SaltX has chosen to collaborate with Rebase Energy, a Swedish AI company (Artificial Intelligence) that develops software for the energy industry. Together, the two companies have created a technically unique and economically viable solution that can enable Helsinki's goal to become carbon neutral by 2035.

''We have created a solution that is so interesting and good that I think the jury will be impressed. This competition has been very educational and an important exercise for us as a company, as we have had to really package and look for complete solutions", says Carl-Johan Linér, CEO of SaltX Technology.

"Rebase and SaltX has strong technological synergies in our respective offerings and therefore we decided to collaborate for the Helsinki Energy Challenge. We have worked intensively over the past six months to deliver a solution that is well based on data on both the environmental and technical circumstances of Helsinki's heating system", says Sebastian Haglund El-Gaidi, CEO and founder of Rebase Energy.
