SALUS LAUNCHES REVOLUTIONARY ‘ONE TOUCH’ HEATING CONTROLS
The quest to improve the efficiency of heating systems, allowing users to reduce home energy use and fuel bills, has now been answered thanks to Salus’ new and revolutionary RT500ROF - a cost saving thermostat that boasts a “one touch” override facility.
Offering homeowners the facility to quickly and easily override their central heating programme when away from home, the RT500ROF is unlike other models available on the market as it can be installed close to the main exit of the property. This conveniently allows the homeowner to simply activate it when entering and exiting the house.
Available for use with Salus’ wireless RT500RF programmable thermostat, the one-touch facility of RT500ROF enables the homeowner to override the room thermostat upon exiting the property. This simple touch operation sets back the pre-programmed temperature of the room thermostat according to the reduced temperature setting selected by the homeowner. Likewise, upon entry when pressed, the intelligent controls feed back to the boiler to then revert back to the original designated temperature of the thermostat.
The reduced temperature setting selected by the homeowner comes courtesy of a slide-switch operated set back temperature selection. This enables the homeowner to set back the temperature by 2˚C, 4˚C or 6˚C. An auto selection facility also enables automatic override temperature reduction to the lowest set on the thermostat.
