Priory Farm Restaurant in St. Olaves, Norfolk, has been trading as an independent, family-run business for over twenty years. It’s a beautiful setting: an old barn, sitting within a working farm, with cattle in the surrounding fields.
“We have a great customer following,” says owner Stephen Teasdale. “We’ll serve 50 to100 covers a day during the week and 150 plus on Saturday and again on Sunday. Our success is built on sourcing quality fresh ingredients and making them into interesting and varied dishes. We offer both a set menu and an ever-changing seasonal blackboard.
“With a busy trade we need good quality equipment, so alongside our cooking range we have three Samsung commercial microwave ovens.” These are CM1929 heavy-duty 1850 watt models with touchpad controls. “We programme the controls to our requirements, then it’s so simple to pop in our individual vegetable portions, press a button and seconds later they are ready to go,” says Steve.
Another plus with the CM1929 is that it has an extra-large oven cavity, about 35% bigger than a standard compact commercial microwave. “It’s very handy: when we need to we can fit in five portions of vegetables at a time,” says Steve.
