Sand Creek Sponsors Scarecrow-building Contest

The thought of a lone and weathered scarecrow paints the perfect picture for any crisp, autumn day.  And, for a few of those lucky enough to scare the crows, a painted picture is exactly what they received.  Following the article “Hands On: Build a Scarecrow” published in the September/October 2010 issue of Hobby Farm Home (HFH) magazine, Sand Creek Post & Beam sponsored a scarecrow-building contest for all the readers.  There were 31 denim-clad entries, each a bit unique and the top three were chosen by the HFH editors to receive a piece of artwork done by artist, Wendy Ketelsen.
