    General Counsel Åsa Thunman to leave Sandvik

    Åsa Thunman, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Sandvik, has decided to leave Sandvik for a corresponding position at the Swedish project development and construction group Skanska. Åsa Thunman, who has been in her current position and a member of the Group Executive Management since 2014, will leave Sandvik no later than July 8, 2025.     Sandvik wins SEK 1.9 billion order from BHP for the Jansen Potash Project

    Sandvik has been awarded a major contract from BHP to the Jansen Potash Project, located in Saskatchewan, Canada.The contract, which includes potash continuous mining systems, is valued at approximately SEK 1.9 billion. An order value of approximately SEK 500 million will be reported in the third quarter 2024, and approximately SEK 400 million in each of the second and third quarter 2025.The remaining order value is estimated to be booked in the second quarter 2026.     Sandvik has received a major underground mining equipment order from the Portugal-based distributor Cimertex, for delivery to the Portuguese mining company Almina Minas do Alentejo S.A.     Sandvik has completed the previously announced acquisition of a majority stake in the leading China-based company Suzhou Ahno Precision Cutting Tool Technology Co., Ltd.
