Staff loyalty rewarded by Sapa Building System
Three members of staff from Tewkesbury-based Sapa Building System, part of the Sapa Group, a world leader in aluminium solutions, have been recognised for notching up more than three decades of service.
At its annual awards lunch, Sapa presented a total of 30 members of staff with a certificate for long service between five and 35 years. As the longest serving, productions operatives Raman, Govind and Ramesh Patel (no relation) have each notched up 35 years of service.
Nigel Sissons, Managing Director at Sapa Building System, says: ‘Nowadays people change jobs much more frequently than they did, so to be able to recognise so many long-serving staff is fantastic. Not only do we have three employees with 35 years’ service but a further nine with between ten and 25 years.
‘This is something we are very proud of and underlines our commitment to creating a positive working environment which allows employees to thrive. Moving to Severn Drive just over two years ago and bringing together staff who were previously spread out over three sites, has improved staff interaction and allowed us to operate more efficiently as a business.’
