SAS Cargo appoints new head of route network division

New head of route network division in SAS Cargo SAS Cargo has appointed Teddy Zebitz (39) as new Vice President and responsible of the company's Route & Revenue Management division. One of the division's tasks is to develop and optimize the cargo routes. Teddy Zebitz comes from a position in SAS as Regional Director Ground Operations Asia & Pacific and is currently based in Bangkok. He starts in SAS Cargo Group September 1st. - Teddy has through his 21 years in SAS gained experience and knowledge about Route & Revenue management both from the passenger side as well as the cargo side. Optimizing our route network is a very complex process and in fact the "heart" of our company. Therefore I am very pleased that we have found a very skilled and competent person as responsible of the process, says Kenneth Marx, Managing Director of SAS Cargo. The career within the SAS concern has brought Teddy Zebitz around the world and given him long international experience. He has been posted in North America, England, Sweden, China and Thailand. Since 1996 he has been stationed in Asia and was for four years responsible of SAS Cargo in China. He has followed the development of the fast growing Asian market for airfreight at close range the past eight years. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leicester UK. - I look forward to my new challenges in SAS Cargo as responsible of the company's prices and products. My international experience, my customer focus and the challenges in different positions and business units within the SAS Group has given me a lot of experience and knowledge about airfreight and the airline industry in general. This experience will become a very helpful tool when optimizing and developing the cargo capacity and the profitability of the company, says Teddy Zebitz. SAS Cargo's cargo capacity comes primarily from SAS' route network. Furthermore SAS Cargo offers, in cooperation with WOW partners and other airfreight companies, all-cargo aircrafts between Scandinavia and Asia and from North America to Scandinavia. SAS Cargo is an independent company owned 100 percent by the SAS Group. In 2003 SAS Cargos turn over was 2,954 MSEK (325 MEUR) and employed 1249 people in Scandinavia and 130 outside Scandinavia.
