SAS Cargo appoints new President and CEO The managing Board of SAS Cargo Group has appointed Vice President Kenneth Marx, 40, as new President and CEO. He succeeds Peter Grønlund, who will start as President and CEO of Scandlines this month. - We have chosen a person, who has the skills to continue the development of SAS Cargo and who at the same time has a thorough knowledge of the SAS organization, says Chairman of the Board, John Dueholm. - With more than 16 years of experience from the SAS Group, including the past five years with SAS Cargo, Kenneth Marx has developed a firm and solid knowledge about the cargo business and the challenges ahead of us. Furthermore, he has produced very good results over the years, both as responsible of SAS Air Mail and latest as responsible of Business Systems in SAS Cargo Group. Being a member of the managing team of SAS Cargo Group A/S for some years, Kenneth Marx already knows what future tasks is waiting for him. - I am, of course, happy and proud to be chosen to this very important position and I look forward to start working with the tasks together with the rest of the managing team as of May 1st, says Kenneth Marx, and mention the introduction of a series of new products this summer as one the important tasks for SAS Cargo. Kenneth Marx, who graduated with a MBA degree from the Business School of Copenhagen in 1997, started in SAS Airline in 1987 as a contract negotiator within the purchasing department. From 1990 to 1999 he held several positions within SAS Commuter and ended as Director Business and Finance. In 1999 he came to SAS Cargo, where he for three years held the position as head of SAS Air Mail. In 2002 he was appointed Vice President and Head of Business Systems SAS Cargo Group, which include the responsibility of the development of products and cargo capacity. SAS Cargo Group A/S had a turnover of 2.954 SEK in 2003 and has 1250 employees in Scandinavia and 130 outside Scandinavia.
