The Scandinavian airfreight company joins cargo portal, which will make it possible for freight forwarders to book and confirm directly via the Internet.

As the Cargo Portal solution is integrated with the carriers’ systems, forwarders will get free access to timely and accurate information on schedules, availability, allotments, and the movement of the goods. Furthermore, the forwarders will also be able to book and confirm shipments in real time. SAS Cargo expects to be live on the portal during the fall 2006. - This is another step in SAS Cargo's IT-strategy, where we continuously are working to improve our services and products through IT-technology. We want to make it easier for our customers to do business with SAS Cargo and we want to optimize our use of the information, which already exists in our IT-systems, says CEO and President Kenneth Marx from SAS Cargo Group A/S.
