SAS Cargo is adding more air cargo capacity between Scandinavia and China, when a new cooperation with Air China starts up in September. An all-cargo freighter, type Boeing 747-200F, will add about 100 weekly tons of cargo from China where the demand for extra capacity is very high.

- The agreement with Air China is the result of a very intensive search to find additional capacity to the most important market for air cargo just now. We have studied various options, however the agreement with Air China meets our demands regarding capacity and frequencies, which are important parameters for us, says Kenneth Marx, president and CEO of SAS Cargo Group A/S. Air China's freighter will arrive three times a week in Copenhagen, Denmark and the trip includes stops in both Beijing and Shanghai. The cooperation also provides Air China with and option to buy capacity on board SAS' aircrafts to China.
