SAS Flight Academy Contracts with IDS International A/S SAS Flight Academy and IDS International A/S have entered into a joint agreement to increase competitiveness on the security training market. According to the newly executed contract, SAS Flight Academy, together with IDS International A/S will deliver a wide assortment of security courses for all personnel groups within the aviation industry. "The joint effort enables delivery of high quality training at competitive prices," says Christer Rönnefall, Chief Ground Instructor at SAS Flight Academy. Both SAS Flight Academy and IDS International A/S have substantial instructional experience within the aviation and maritime industries. IDS International A/S has taught a large number of crews and ships' officers as well as harbor and shipping security heads worldwide, focusing on terrorist activities of concern to the maritime sector. All IDS International A/S consultants have a background within aviation, law enforcement, defense, anti terrorist units or the British Special Boat Services. SAS Flight Academy provides training for pilots, cabin crews, maintenance technicians and ships' officers. It offers training for twelve different aircraft types, ranging from regional to long haul aircraft and helicopters. SAS Flight Academy has two training centers; one in Stockholm, Sweden, and one in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will open a third training center at Gardermoen, Oslo Airport, Norway, in August 2004.
