SAS Flight Academy expands in Copenhagen

SAS Flight Academy is to expand its Copenhagen training center. The business is moving into bigger facilities and two full flight simulators will be added.

Today the Copenhagen facility offers a broad range of training programs for cabin crews and has cabin trainers for both service and emergency training. It also offers pilot CBT training. The pilot training will now be expanded and two Full Flight Simulators; one B737NG and one MD-80, will be installed. SAS Flight Academy has also signed a contract with Sterling Airlines regarding B737-700 training for both pilots and cabin personnel. The contract means that SAS Flight Academy will be the exclusive training provider for Sterling Airlines' pilots and cabin personnel until the end of 2010. The training will be performed at SAS Flight Academy's three training centers in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. Other customers at the Copenhagen facility are SAS Scandinavian Airlines Denmark, Cimber Air, MyTravel, Hello AG, BH Air, Air Greenland, Pulkovo Airlines.
