Radhika Kulkarni of SAS named INFORMS Fellow
SAS analytics R&D leader honored by operations research association for contributions to analytics
Radhika Kulkarni, PhD, SAS Vice President for Advanced Analytics R&D, has been named an INFORMS fellow. The world’s largest society for operations research, management science and analytics professionals cited Kulkarni’s ongoing advocacy for operations research (OR) and optimization.
“The INFORMS Fellow Award is one of our highest honors. Dr. Kulkarni’s selection as an INFORMS Fellow pays tribute to her exceptional accomplishments and significant contributions to operations research and the management sciences,” said INFORMS Director Melissa Moore.
A frequent industry speaker, Kulkarni is a SAS CEO Award of Excellence winner and was recently named one of the 100 Diverse Corporate Leaders in STEM by STEMconnector.In addition to her industrywide operations research advocacy, her 31 years at SAS have helped establish the company as a leader in the analytics market.
“Radhika is a passionate voice for the critical role of operations research in SAS®Business Analytics. The many hours she spends promoting the value of OR to business leaders have notably benefited SAS customers who continue to increase valuable insight into their enterprises. The analytics industry as a whole is better for her strong advocacy,” said Armistead Sapp, SAS Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
“My selection as a Fellow is recognition of the contribution that operations research has made to the advanced analytics portfolio at SAS in recent years,” said Kulkarni. “It is also a recognition of SAS support for INFORMS, especially in its efforts to become a premier organization for analytics professionals.”
