SAS invests in partners with new program; gives customers more ways to access analytics
Competencies, specializations and certifications for SAS partners bring significant value to businesses in all industries
SAS, the leader in analytics, continues enhancing its approach to getting the power of analytics into customers hands with its new partner program. In addition to broadening its distribution channels, SAS is further strengthening its partner base through added training and credentials, which ensures customers get the same level of service and support they have come to expect directly from SAS.
“SAS continues to make significant progress in its partnering efforts,” said Darren Bibby, Program Vice-President for Channels and Alliances Research at IDC. “This latest news emphasizes their focus on treating partners as an extension of SAS so that the partners are able to deliver the analytic solutions and services their customers need to be successful.”
SAS has more than 1,300 partners in its partner program that address opportunities across all markets – including banking, retail, health care and energy. Many partners are also working to achieve credentials from SAS that highlight their unique expertise and knowledge in critical areas such as analytics, data management and visualization.
“SAS’ nearly 40 years of success is based on listening to our customers and our partners,” said Russ Cobb, Vice President of Alliances and Channels at SAS. “We have been steadily expanding how we deliver analytics into businesses – whether through direct channels, resellers, OEM providers, systems integrators or service providers. Our new program will guarantee that our partners have the support and services they need so that our customers get the same level of care, and counsel, from them as they would from us. We want to work closely with our partners to help them do business better than ever before.”
SAS Partners support the new program
- “SAS has been a key partner of ours for more than 15 years, and the increased emphasis on alliances, channels and competency paths provides additional differentiation for Zencos’ capabilities and key skills,” said David Septoff, CEO of Zencos Consulting.
- "The changes to SAS’ partner program make it easier for us to be recognized for our distinctive competencies, as well as better support what our customers want,” said Shiva Kommareddi, Managing Partner at CoreCompete.
- “We appreciate the enrichments that SAS has made to their Partner Program. SAS has taken the attributes that have made them one of the market leaders in analytics technology, and expanded them to help create a tremendous environment in which to collaborate and team,” said David Rudini, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP
In addition to expanding how SAS works with its partners to get analytics into businesses, the SAS Partner Program includes a set of new credentials and competency badges that a partner can achieve for key SAS products and technologies. SAS is also rolling out specializations in key SAS solutions like Customer Intelligence, Fraud and Risk. These credentials allow partners to differentiate themselves and demonstrate their SAS skills and expertise in solving customer problems. Partners also have access to expanded training options that include online resources, a demo center and sales enablement tools that give them the information they need to be more agile and responsive in supporting customers and identifying new opportunities for them.
