Workplace culture and training opportunities reward and motivate young professionals

Business analytics leader SAS has been named one of the 2015 Best Places to Work for Recent Grads by Symplicity Corporation. SAS was recognized for creating a global work environment that inspires and energizes employees and helps young professionals continue to learn while advancing their careers.

“SAS is thrilled to receive this recognition and is excited about what the next generation brings to our company,” said SAS Vice President of Human Resources, Jenn Mann, “They are highly intelligent, creative problem solvers, who love to co-create – a great fit for us!”

Naturally, the widely recognized campus benefits, including free on-site recreation and fitness center; free on-site health care center with an adjacent pharmacy, and countless on-site convenience services including a hair and nail salon, dry cleaning and subsidized cafeterias, are appealing to job seekers at any stage of life. However, SAS is greatly committed to helping its young professionals thrive. Full-time training programs, such as the SAS Academy, provide both in-class and on-the-job training to ensure that recent grads are set up for success before moving into their full-time roles. A young professionals group offers them a sense of community in the early stages of their career.

"When I graduated, I wasn't just looking for a job - I was looking for a career,” said Molly Ball, SAS Associate Account Executive. “The SAS Sales Academy provided that and extensive training and networking opportunities that would jump-start my development in the first six months of my career. I was able to dive head first into my role as an account rep thanks to the dedicated people at SAS who are committed to helping everyone succeed. No other company I considered invested so much in their recent grads, so I knew I wanted to start my career at SAS."

Other companies recognized alongside SAS on the list include Accenture, Ernst & Young, General Motors, Nestle and Salesforce.

SAS is widely recognized as a pioneer in workplace culture. SAS ranked No. 2 on the Great Places to Work World's Best Multinational Workplaces list last year; and, in 2013 and 2014 ranked No. 2 on Fortune magazine’s list of Best Companies to Work For in the US. In 2014, three SAS offices in Greece, the Netherlands, and Poland were ranked No. 1. SAS has also been among the top workplaces in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and the United Kingdom. In addition, SAS was ranked No. 4 as a great place to work in Europe. The Great Place to Work Institute has recognized SAS many times since the organization was founded to identify companies that have created great workplaces.
