SCA declines to make an offer for Gescartão, the Portuguese packaging company Referring to questions from analysts and the media, SCA is making the following statement: SCA has chosen not to make an offer for Gescartão, the Portuguese packaging company, in connection with the ongoing privatisation process. Binding bids were requested for 2 November. The reasons for SCA's position include an increased exposure to paper production primarily as the binding bid is conditional upon the instalment of significant additional testliner capacity.
