SCA Hygiene Products enters into new phase after completion of efficiency enhancement program After the merger of Mölnlycke and PWA Hygiene Paper, SCA Hygiene Products has carried out an extensive efficiency enhancement and integration program during the past two years. This program is in the final phase of completion. Another step is now being taken through each division assuming total responsibility for the entire value chain, from production to sales, as well as responsibility for ventures into new markets. All important management functions are being centered in Munich to ensure the efficiency of communications between the divisions. The following management changes are being made: The current Division Manager of Consumer Products, Kurth Augustson, who led the integration process for Consumer Products, will retire at the end of 2000 and move back to Sweden. Stefan Angwald, currently Division Manager of the Incontinence Care Division, has been appointed Division Manager of Consumer Products. He is succeeded by Gunnar Johansson, presently Regional Manager, Incontinence Care, North America. Rijk Schipper, currently Deputy Division Manager, Incontinence Care, has been appointed Division Manager for the Away from Home unit. Accordingly, Håkan Johansson is turning over responsibility for the division to work with the President of SCA Hygiene Products, Alfred Heinzel, as project leader for the work with integration of Metsä Tissue into SCA Hygiene Products.
