Leading global hygiene and forest products company SCA has once again been recognized as a leader in disclosing climate change data with quality and depth to its investors and to the global market place. The achievement was announced yesterday on the CDP Climate Leadership Awards seminar in Stockholm.

For the fifth consecutive year SCA has qualified for the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index, for its approach to climate change disclosure. The index is conducted by the international non-governmental organization CDP and represents 767 institutional investors with 92 trillion USD in assets under management.

The included companies are rated out of a total of 100 and SCA achieved the highest achievable score, 100. High scores indicate good internal data management and understanding of climate change related issues affecting the company.

“The manner in which we conduct our operations constitutes our competitive edge. SCA is once again recognized for the great importance we place on corporate responsibility. Us achieving the highest possible score in CDP's Climate Disclosure Leadership Index is an acknowledgment that SCA continues to have best-in-class systems for reporting climate related data”, says Kersti Strandqvist, Senior Vice President Sustainability, SCA.

CDP’s Nordic Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) highlights the constituent companies within the Nordic stock exchanges which have displayed a strong approach to corporate governance in respect of climate change disclosure practices.
