SCA seeks 200 summer workers in Sundsvall – an opportunity to work for a sustainable future

SCA’s recruitment of summer workers in the Sundsvall region is in full swing. And demand is substantial – 200 new employees need to be recruited.

“We have already begun recruiting summer workers and are seeking young people who want to work with the forest industry as their base,” explains Maria Nyberg, Head of Recruitment at SCA.

Summer worker recruitment is important to ensure future competence, but it also gives successful applicants a chance to get to know SCA a little better as a company.

“We’re one of the biggest employers in Sundsvall, with many different operations in the region. Our jobs all offer an opportunity to make a real difference toward greater climate benefits. Our summer workers are crucial in this effort,” says Josefin Stenskog, HR partner at the Ortviken paper mill.

Actively working for a diverse workplace
SCA aspires to have a diverse workplace and actively endeavors, for example, to recruit more women into its operations.

“A diverse workplace is good for the entire organization. Our jobs are suitable for everyone, both women and men, and we therefore hope to receive many applications,” says Maria Nyberg.

Many different jobs are available in Sundsvall, including financial assistants, process operators, maintenance engineers and forklift operators. To reach out to as many people as possible, SCA is testing a new concept.

“We’ll be speed-interviewing many of the applicants. It will be a fun day and a major recruitment event. I hope many people will take this opportunity to apply for a summer job in an industry of the future,” concludes Maria Nyberg.
