Heidelberger Zements's offer to the shareholders in Scancem was received positively The application period for Heidelberger Zement's and its subsidiary NEWCEM Holding AB's together ("Heidelberger") offer ended on September 13, 1999. Today, we are pleased to announce that it can be established that Heidelberger will control shares in Scancem AB corresponding to 99,3 percent of the shares and 99,3 percent of the votes. The settlement date will be on September 24, 1999. Heidelberger has decided to prolong the offer to October 8, 1999. The shareholders who did not accept the offer during the original application period will, as the other shareholders, receive SEK 397,30 for the share of Series A and 378, 15 for the share of Series B in Scancem. The settlement date will be on October 22, 1999. Heidelberger reserves the right to acquire further shares in Scancem in the market. Heidelberger will as soon as possible call for a compulsory acquisition of the remaining shares in Scancem.
