Interim Report, six months ended June 30, 1998 Earnings up 23 percent first six months Earnings after financial items totaled SEK 554 M in the first half of 1998, an increase of SEK 103 M, compared with the corresponding period of 1997. Consistent, favorable growth in Scancem's principal markets. Earnings after financial items totaled SEK 1,453 M in the past 12-month period (full year 1997: 1,350) Earnings for the full year 1998 are expected to be higher than in 1997.
