Scandic opens a new hotel in the city of Oslo During the last few days Scandic Hotel St. Olav, on St. Olavs Plass, in the city of Oslo, has welcomed its first guests. The hotel is built in accordance with Scandic´s environmental standards and the building is in a traditional "classic functional" style with 241 rooms, 10 suites and modern conference facilities. Since the mid-1940s St. Olavs Plass is famous for the ABC Theater (formerly Edderkoppen), one of the largest and best-known homes of shows in Norway. The Norwegian National Theater, where plays by Ibsen are among the productions offered during the autumn, is also close to the hotel.
