Austrian Airlines application approved by Star Alliance Tokyo, October 15, 1999 - The Chief Executive Officers of Star Alliance, meeting in Tokyo to welcome All Nippon Airway as the newest member, today approved the application of the Austrian Airlines Aviation Group to become a member of the partnership effective at the start of the summer traffic program next year.
