Kjell Fredheim appointed new President and CEO of Air Botnia

Kjell Fredheim appointed new President and CEO of Air Botnia As from October 15, 1998, Kjell Fredheim will take up the position as President and CEO of the Finnish airline Air Botnia. Kjell Fredheim is currently Managing Director of Britannia Airways AB and has just recently concluded the work with establishing the British charter airline in Scandinavia. Kjell Fredheim has a long career in SAS and was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1990. He left SAS in 1995 and has since also held the position of President and CEO of airBaltic (SAS has 28.5 per cent of the shares). The current President and CEO of Air Botnia, Kari Hohti, will according to an agreement signed with SAS in the early spring of 1998, leave his position at Air Botnia in mid October. Thanks to Kari Hohti, Air Botnia has expanded its operations and developed into a dynamic company during the transition period since January 1998. SAS will further strenghten its support to Air Botnia in the continued expansion on the domestic market in Finland. SAS acquired all shares in Air Botnia in January 1998. The fleet consists of five Jetstream 32 and four SAAB 340 aircraft.
