[REMOVED GRAPHICS]SAS to sell part of its holding in British Midland to Lufthansa - British Midland to join Star Alliance British Midland plc announced today that it has agreed to a two week period of exclusive negotiations with Lufthansa to conclude an agreement with BM and SAS which would lead to BM joining Star Alliance. Under the proposed agreement SAS would sell a 20 per cent shareholding in BM to Lufthansa. SAS would remain a 20 per cent hold in BM. The proposed agreement is subject to final contract and regulatory approval.
