The strike at SAS Commuter Denmark continues The strike among the cabin employees at SAS Commuter in Denmark is a fact. This means cancellations of a small number of departures, mainly between Copenhagen and Sweden, Germany and Poland. At the start of the conflict, SAS Commuter made a summary of the demands of the Cabin Attendant's Union (CAU). The demands correspond to cost increases as follows: - Service in cockpit or compensation for new tax rules: 2.5 % - Eight extra days free per year: 4.0 % - New rules about working time 8.0 % - Nomination of pursers and regulation of salaries 4 - 5 % To finance this, CAU suggests a new salary system for new employees and a new, more effective, scheduling system. This would, according to CAU result in cost cuts at approximately five to six percent. According to SAS Commuter, this corresponds to an annual cost increase at approximately ten percent. CAU means, that this will result in a decrease in real wages for its members for about three percent. SAS Commuter has offered a total increase of about four to five percent, partly financed by lower salaries for newly employed for future employees in SAS Commuter.
