Travel by airpass in Europe this summer 21 airlines, 41 countries, 235 cities, and 1 pass! From June 1 until August 31 this summer, travelers will be able to fly throughout Europe using SAS' Get Around Europe airpass. They will be able to choose between 235 cities in 41 countries, and the new hubs - Prague and Vienna - will make traveling on an airpass more exciting than ever before. SAS' Get Around Europe airpass was first introduced in 1997 as a cooperative venture involving seven airlines and offering flights to 131 destinations. The idea was - and still is - that everyone, regardless of age, should be included within the rules for the airpass. "It's a new way to travel. Using the airpass, you can combine your vacation with visits to friends and acquaintances at a reasonable price," says Elizabeth Hjelm, pricing manager for the Get Around Europe pass at SAS. The addition of new companies such as Austrian Airlines, Tyrolean Airways, Lauda Air and Czech Airlines, opens up interesting new flight combinations. The range of connecting flights has improved substantially, with Prague and Vienna as new hubs in addition to Copenhagen, Frankfurt and Munich. To use the pass in Europe, you must have at least two 24-hour stopovers outside the Nordic countries and be away for at least one Saturday night. Travelers are entitled to rebook their ticket twice, but this right does not include the first leg of the journey. The Get Around Europe pass will be on sale from May 1 and will be available until August 11. SAMPLE PRICES: Stockholm-Amsterdam-London-Stockholm, SEK 2,834.
