Scandinavian Business Seating supports the Earth Hour

WWF’s Earth Hour is a unique annual phenomenon - at 8.30pm on 23rd March millions of people all across the world will turn off their lights for one hour. This is to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.
Scandinavian Business Seating, the largest task seating manufacturer in Western Europe, has signed up to join millions of people in this symbolic show of support and is encouraging their employees, customers, family and friends to do the same.
"We welcome initiatives such as the Earth Hour as for decades we've been taking specific actions to reduce our impact on the environment", says Jorgen Josefsson, Managing Director at Scandinavian Business Seating. "In Scandinavian Business Seating we know that 95% of our total carbon footprint is directly related to the products we make. The main impact that we can have as an organisation in reducing Co2, is in how we design, source our material, and manufacture our products."
Scandinavian Business Seating's chairs have the industry's lowest carbon footprint documented by Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). EPDs are gaining recognition in the UK although they have been important in specification in Scandinavia for quite some time.
"As consumers we can all benefit the environment by carefully selecting the product we buy", Jorgen Josefsson goes on to say. "Businesses need to be thinking of their environmental impact and reduction of carbon footprint as environmental issues are becoming hugely important."
