Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition AB (SCN) is about to establish its own marketing company in Sweden. The purpose is to assume full control over marketing and distribution of SCN’s own and in-licensed products, and to improve the company’s margins on the home market. The subsidiary will be managed by Kalle Eriksson and Bengt Johansson, who have agreed to handle both the re-launch of CUUR in Sweden and Norway and the additional launches that the company plans this fall.

Kalle Eriksson and Bengt Johansson, represented by their respective companies ProMedic Naturläkemedel AB and Medica Egenvård AB, have extensive experience from the Swedish health food industry. Both have a history of several successful product launches, and valuable knowledge as well as good connections within the different segments of the industry.

“SCN’s strong international presence, especially in the USA where we have our own marketing team, provides many exciting possibilities to launch new and unique products for the Scandinavian market, in addition to our own products”, says Ulf Söderberg, CEO of SCN.

“The fact that both Kalle Eriksson and Bengt Johansson have a good reputation and extensive experience within the Swedish health food industry makes them a very good team for handling SCN’s products in a focused way”, Söderberg continues.

SCN plans to launch the products Ledactin and Membraseven in Sweden and Norway during Q3 and Q4, 2007, but the first step is the re-launch of CUUR, which is to take place already during the month of June. The company recently took over the rights to CUUR in the Nordic countries from Bringwell, and will now also venture for the home market.

“Both Medica and ProMedic are very happy and excited to take on the task of marketing SCN’s products. It will be a positive challenge for us, and we will immediately expand our organization to be able to meet that challenge”, says Kalle Eriksson, CEO of ProMedic.
