Enviro initiates detailed design stage for its plant in Uddevalla

Scandinavian Enviro Systems AB (publ) ("Enviro", "the company"), following a decision by its Board of Directors, has initiated the development of the detailed design for the company’s planned recycling plant in Uddevalla. The task includes the production of detailed structural documentation in central areas such as processing, electricity, automation and piping design.

The detailed design work follows the completion of the front-end engineering design (FEED) that was completed before the summer. In order to initiate more detailed works, the company recruited a number of new employees over the spring and summer, in fields such as electrical engineering, automation, processing, finance and mechanical engineering. In addition, the company has also contracted several consultants in areas such as piping calculations, piping design, 3D modelling, fire protection, quality, health, safety and environment. During the phase that has now been initiated, the company will also intensify its efforts in procurement and supplier selection.

This summer, Enviro’s planned recycling plant in Uddevalla obtained an environmental permit to recycle up to 60,000 tons of end-of-life tyres per year. A final decision on establishment of the new plant is dependent on several factors, such as securing access to end-of-life tyres and agreements covering deliveries of recovered materials.
