Enviro makes key recruitment for continued industrialisation and expansion

Enviro has made a strategic recruitment by employing Fredrik Alpner as the Site Manager for the company’s plant in Åsensbruk and future plant in Uddevalla. Alpner has a long-standing background as production manager in the global processing industry and will take up a new role that will contribute to both the continued industrialisation and commercialisation of Enviro’s leading recycling technology and realising the company’s expansion plan.

Enviro is currently in an intense phase in which the company is scaling up industrialisation of its recycling technology by establishing the company’s first full-scale recycling plant in Chile together with Michelin. At the same time, the company’s expansion plan is gradually being implemented, with the aim of establishing recycling capacity of a total of 900,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres by 2030. In autumn 2021, the company applied for an environmental permit for establishing a full-scale recycling plant in Uddevalla.

Central to both the industrialisation and expansion plan is that the company is able to scale up its technology and establish an efficient production and process at its recycling plants. Fredrik Alpner has a long-standing background in the processing industry that has included roles as production and site manager for the global chemical producer Grace Catalyst’s plant in Stenungsund.

“This is a particularly strategic recruitment since we have found in Fredrik Alpner someone who has exactly the experience and expertise that are critical to this very phase that Enviro is now experiencing. Fredrik Alpner will play a key role in our continued development and the recruitment marks a new and important step in our important work to industrialise our technology and carry out our expansion plan,” says Thomas Sörensson, CEO of Enviro.

Fredrik Alpner will take office in mid-April this year and will initially work as the Site Manager of Enviro’s Åsensbruk plant. It is then planned that he will assume responsibility for the future plant in Uddevalla in the role of Site Manager.

Enviro has developed an efficient recycling technology that can help to increase circularity in the use of valuable raw materials. The technology can recover carbon black, oil and steel from end-of-life tyres for reuse in the tyre and rubber industry and the chemicals industry. The use of recovered carbon black and oil offers both environmental and financial benefits. In September 2021, Enviro became the first company in the world to become certified for carbon black under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification system (ISCC). The oil recovered by Enviro from end-of-life tyres also received ISCC certification.

Enviro is a company developing, building and operating industrial plants for material recovery from End of Life Tyres (ELT). The company has developed a process, based on a patented technology, where gas generated in the process is heating the tyres in absence of oxygen. This enables the materials in the tyres to decompose and be recovered instead of incinerated. Thus, a sustainable recovery of the resources Carbon black, Oil, Steel and Gas is obtained. The products are used in new products, replacing fossil resources to help the customers reach their sustainability targets. Enviro was founded in 2001, has its head office in Gothenburg and runs its own plant for ELT tyres in Åsensbruk, Sweden. The company is listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market with Mangold Fondkommission AB, tel. +46 (0)8 5030 1550, ca@mangold.se, as its Certified Adviser. www.envirosystems.se
