Scandinavian Enviro Systems has been nominated for two international awards at the Recircle Awards, an industry initiative to highlight valuable contributions in the tyre manufacturing, retreading and recycling industries that promote a circular economy.

“We are incredibly happy that our work is once again receiving international attention. The industry and the tyre industry are making great strides towards a more sustainable future and Enviro's technology is an important component to achieve circular flows,” says Thomas Sörensson, CEO of Enviro.

This is the second year in a row that Enviro is nominated in the Recircle Awards, the company won the 2021 edition of the Tyre Pyrolysis Award category. The initiative has been instituted by several prominent actors in the rubber and tyre industry.

“2021 has been the year when circular materials really got a big boost, which is also noticeable because Enviro has had great success. Initiatives such as the Recircle Awards are important for drawing attention to innovative solutions that benefit a circular economy. Enviro's nominations show that we offer a unique and important solution to a major challenge – the extraction of valuable materials from used tyres”, says Thomas Sörensson.

In 2021, Enviro's recovered carbon black was ISCC-certified, the work of establishing a new plant in Uddevalla is progressing and in November, CEO Thomas Sörensson participated in a panel discussion with the industry's leading actors at the Recovered Carbon Black Conference.

The Recircle Awards gives out 20 prizes in various categories. Voting is open to the public and the winners will be announced April 25, 2022.

About Recircle Awards

An international initiative to draw attention to valuable contributions in the tyre, retreading and recycling industries that promote a circular economy. The Recircle Awards were presented for the first time in 2021.

Enviro is a gold collaborator to the initiative.

Enviro is a company developing, building and operating industrial plants for material recovery from End of Life Tyres (ELT). The company has developed a process, based on a patented technology, where gas generated in the process is heating the tyres in absence of oxygen. This enables the materials in the tyres to decompose and be recovered instead of incinerated. Thus, a sustainable recovery of the resources Carbon black, Oil, Steel and Gas is obtained. The products are used in new products, replacing fossil resources to help the customers reach their sustainability targets. Enviro was founded in 2001, has its head office in Gothenburg and runs its own plant for ELT tyres in Åsensbruk, Sweden. The company is listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market with Mangold Fondkommission AB, tel. +46 (0)8 5030 1550, ca@mangold.se, as its Certified Advisor. www.envirosystems.se
