Changes to the Executive Board of Scania

Martin Lundstedt has been appointed head of Franchise and Factory Sales and Urban Erdtman has been appointed head of Sales and Services Management. They will both join Scania’s Executive Board.

Martin Lundstedt aged 40, is currently Senior Vice President Franchise and Factory Sales and member of Scania Group Management. He joined Scania in 1992 as trainee and took up his first managerial position in 1996. Prior to his current position, Martin Lundstedt was Managing Director of Scania Production Angers between 2001 and 2005.

He succeeds Per-Erik Lindquist, who has decided to leave his position at Scania on 1 July this year.

“Per-Erik Lindquist has contributed to the positive development of Scania for many years. Therefore, I can only regret that he has now decided to leave the company”, says Leif Östling, President and CEO.

Urban Erdtman aged 62, is currently Senior Vice President Sales and Services Management and member of Scania Group Management. He joined Scania in 1989, and held various managerial positions. In 1998 he was appointed head of Sales and Marketing and member of Scania’s Executive Board, a position he held until 2001. After serving as Managing Director of Svenska Volkswagen for four years, he rejoined Scania in 2005.

He succeeds Hans-Christer Holgersson, who has been appointed Managing Director of Scania Great Britain. On 1 September, 2007 Hans-Christer Holgersson succeeds Dan Hoij, who retires from his current position.

Great Britain is Scania’s largest market, both in terms of turnover and the number vehicles sold. Scania dealers offer sales of new and used vehicles and, through a nationwide network of 90 service points, provide a wide range of market services and contract packages.
