Press conference Scania emphasis on IT at the RAI fair: safety, economy and environmental consideration in focus Scania is the first of the major manufacturers to hold a press conference at the RAI truck show in Amsterdam on press day, 2 February. Scania is placing a firm emphasis on modern IT technology. One example is the launch of an all-new flexible interface to integrate the market's existing fleet management systems. In a studio on the stand, several applications are demonstrated based on this open PC-platform. At the same time, Scania is presenting its complete range of Euro 3 en- gines as well as a gas-powered engine. The press conference, to be held at the Scania stand, begins at 9 a.m. Representatives of the Scania executive management team will be available to answer questions. The press are welcome to the stand from 8 a.m., when a breakfast buffet will be available. This year, Scania is displaying seven trucks which, with their wide range of fitted equipment, demonstrate some of the potential of the modular con- cept.
