Scania engines to power Doosan excavators

Scania and the South Korean equipment manufacturer, Doosan Infracore, have agreed to further deepen their cooperation where Scania is delivering engines for articulated dump trucks and large wheel loaders. From 2014 Scania will supply Tier4 final engines for Doosan Large Excavators intended for Europe and North America.

”We are pleased that Scania has earned the trust of Doosan to also power their excavators, ” says Johan Björkman, Key Account Manager, Scania Engines. “We are expecting deliveries of around 1,000 engines annually to Doosan Large Excavators.”

Johan Björkman adds ”We believe that we can provide first-class support in the field.”

The newly developed engine platform is the same for all emission levels, ranging from Tier 2 to Tier 4 final and is designed to be robust and extremely reliable.
