Scania's Technical Director Håkan Samuelsson leaves the company Håkan Samuelsson, Executive Vice President Development and Production and a member of Scania's Executive Board since 1996, resigns from Scania. He will leave his position on 11 Februari 2000 for an executive position in a big international company abroad. Håkan Samuelsson joined Scania in 1977 and has had a number of leading po- sitions within the technical organisation of Scania both in Sweden and in Latin America. Scania is one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks and buses for heavy transport applications, and of industrial and marine engines. With 25,800 employees and production facilities in Europe and Latin America, Scania is one of the most profitable companies in its sector. In 1999, turnover totalled SEK 47,100 million and income after financial items SEK 4,5 million. Scania products are marketed in about 100 countries worldwide and some 95 percent of Scania's vehicles are sold outside Sweden.
