SCC awarded place on HEPCW Audio Visual Framework Agreement for Education
SCC has been awarded a place on the Higher Education Purchasing Consortium, Wales (HEPCW) Framework Agreement for Audio Visual Products and Services.
This Agreement is available to member organisation of HEPCW, the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) and the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC).
The landmark award – SCC’s first in Audio Visual for Education – caps a successful period of growth for the business in this area, having established itself as one of the UK’s leading Audio Visual integrators.
It follows SCC’s successful inclusion on a number of AV Frameworks in other areas, including one already in 2015 with the Crown Commercial Service.
The two-year HEPCW Framework Agreement, with two optional one-year extensions, enables Higher & Further Education institutions covering various UK regions to partner with SCC and other awarded suppliers to design, supply, install, manage and support high-impact Audio Visual solutions, transforming the working and learning environment.
SCC has been successful in Lots 2 (supply and fit – region 4) and 3 (design, supply and install – all regions).
Regions include East Anglia & North of M4, Southwest England, South & Southeast England, Greater London (within the M25) and Wales.
SCC’s Head of Education and Healthcare, Patricia McIntosh, said of the award:
“This is the first time that SCC has bid for a position on an AV for Education Framework – and we’re delighted at the opportunity to demonstrate our capability in this area.”
Mark Williams, Sales Manager for Audio Visual added:
“Our AV business has seen tremendous success in recent years – particularly in the commercial sector for customers including Thomson, TalkTalk and the BBC, but also in the public sector for Belfast Metropolitan College and High School of Dundee, among others.
“This award puts us on the Higher & Further Education map as a credible partner for AV solutions – and we’re excited by the projects.”
SCC was recently chosen by High School of Dundee to design and install a system that would allow students, teachers and visitors to access the internet, while providing the security needed for a public network and content filters appropriate for pupils aged 5-18.
SCC has also completed a project at Belfast Metropolitan College, transforming its new Titanic Quarter Campus into an interactive, modern learning centre for its students.
The project included the supply and installation of interactive whiteboards and projectors within 109 classrooms and demonstration areas.
Notable successes for SCC’s AV business in the commercial sector include substantial projects with the BBC and BBC Worldwide – including the installation of LED screens, multiple complex Audio Visual control systems, video streaming, projection and video playback at the Media City site in Salford, New Broadcasting House in London and across the entire BBC business.
SCC has also helped holiday retailer Thomson embrace changes in consumer behaviour, by creating a compelling in-store experience at their new flagship store at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent.
The award-winning store is treated as a digital canvas with evocative, high-impact imagery used to attract, entertain and inspire customers, whether they are outside the store or immersed in a personalised holiday experience inside the store.
The ‘holiday design store’ concept is now being rolled out nationally.
Similarly, it is expected SCC’s inclusion on HEPCW’s AV Framework Agreement for Education will help inspire, enable and engage students and educators in Higher Education.
