SchlumbergerSema Wins Contract with Statoil To Provide IT Service Desk operations Stavanger, February 5, 2003 - SchlumbergerSema, a business segment of Schlumberger Limited, today announced an agreement with Statoil ASA to provide IT service desk operations. Statoil ASA is one of the world's largest net sellers of crude oil, and a substantial supplier of natural gas to Europe. Under the three-year agreement, which has an option to extend to five years, SchlumbegerSema will deliver a dedicated IT support and service desk, tailored for the Scandinavian market. Supporting Statoil operations in Stavanger, Copenhagen and Stockholm, the services will be based on the Schlumberger DeXa.Touch* solution for global help desk and distributed computing environments. To further support its focus on Energy IT services, SchlumbergerSema will also establish an oil and gas competence center in Stavanger.
